If you’re a parent or caregiver of an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities, you already know the weight of it: the planning, the advocacy, the worry about the future, and the loneliness of feeling like no one quite gets it. Together in the Journey exists to change that. It’s where families find each other, share what they’ve learned, and remember they’re not carrying this alone.
Connection and community
We bring families together so you can find people who understand — practical wisdom, shared encouragement, and the relief of being in a room (or a conversation) where you don’t have to explain yourself.
Help navigating resources
The world of services, programs, and planning is hard to navigate. We help families connect with the people and resources that can help, so you’re not figuring it out from scratch.
A plan for the future
The fear of “what happens when I’m gone” eases when there’s a plan. We walk alongside families thinking through what comes next for their adult child — and work toward the housing that makes a secure future real.
Where we are today — honestly.
We’re early, and we believe in being straight with families about that. Today, you can connect with us for community and support, and we’ll help point you toward resources that fit your family’s needs. As we grow, this is where support groups, gatherings, and family programming will live. We’d rather build it with you than promise more than we can deliver.
